Mike Adler, former partner of Lichter Grossman Nichols Adler Feldman & Clark, has represented the following clients Viola Davis, Steven Soderbergh, Cary Joji Fukunaga and Tom Felton, already dead. He is 73 years old.
A spokesman for the company announced that Adler died Wednesday at his Los Angeles home in what he described as a brief illness.
Adler, who joined what was then Lichter Grossman & Nichols in 1997, five years after its founding, remained an “absolutely integral part” of the company until his retirement in 2019, the company said.
“Throughout his career, he has been a fearless and tenacious advocate for his clients, including some of the film and television industry’s best-known actors, writers, directors and producers,” it noted. “His clients mean the world to him.
“He has been a great lawyer and true mentor to many lawyers in our firm and the larger entertainment legal community over the years. He has terrible handwriting and terrible jokes. Most importantly, Mike is a man – a real kind and generous companions and friends.”
Over the years, he has worked closely with other well-known LGNAFC clients such as tom bergeron, Connie Nielsen, Kristin Scott ThomasDavid Magee, Frank Dorger, Eric Balfour, Sasha Gervasi and Vincent Landy.
After graduating from UCLA Law School and clerking for California Supreme Court Justice Mathew Tobriner and US District Judge William Enright, Adler was a partner at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp before joining Lichter Grossman & Nichols.
Survivors include his wife, Dr. Brenda Fabe; children Jeremy and Rachel; daughter-in-law Susan and son-in-law Jonah; and four grandchildren.
