The RCB franchise posted a photo of Gail on their social media accounts with the caption, “The Cosmic Boss has arrived at his favorite home. 🤩 The entertainment has officially begun. 🥳”
RCB is the first to honor former players Gail and AB de Villiers In recognition of their contribution to the team in the Indian Premier League.
The team will permanently retire the batting legends’ jersey numbers and induct them into the RCB Hall of Fame as a token of appreciation for their service.
The franchise announced the move on Twitter earlier this week, writing: “We made a promise to you during last year’s IPL that we will have @ABdeVilliers17 and @henrygayle together at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Yes, They will be present at the #RCBUnbox event on March 26, 2023 for the inauguration of the RCB Hall of Fame.”
During the announcement, the former RCB captain Villacolli Expressed his delight at playing alongside the legendary cricketer and said: “AB has truly changed the game of cricket with his innovation, talent and sportsmanship. I have played with Chris for 7 years and this will be the best for me The most special trip.”
Gale averaged nearly 44 points in 84 games for the team, a staggering 3,163 points on 152.7 shooting, 249 fours and 239 sixes, while de Villiers played for RCB Played 144 games and scored close to 5,000 points on a 158.6 field goal percentage.
