Footprints and Visions: Building Community Through Dance

Join local community member Eric Ventura for a free community dance event on Saturday, April 1st from 4-6 pm at the Community Arts Center in Truckee.

All skill levels are welcome at this U-Jam celebration of aerobic dance, followed by a sound therapy session.



This community outreach dance and movement workshop focuses on health and community wellness and is funded by the California Arts Council’s Tails and Vistas Community Impact Grant in partnership with InnerRhythms Dance.

Full Moon Snowshoe Tour with Tahoe Adventure Company

Take a full moon snowshoe tour on Tuesday, April 4th at 6pm and Wednesday, April 5th at 6:30pm to see the last full moon of winter before spring is in full force.

Breathe the clean mountain air, snowshoe under the moonlight, and watch the Pink Moon with friends and family while learning about the Sierras.

For $85 per person, guests will snowshoe two to three miles while guides discuss natural history and astronomy topics along the way. The group will also stop to enjoy the beautiful scenery, snacks and hot drinks.

Winter WonderGrass Picking’ at Palisades Tahoe Square

Head to the village to continue the Winter WonderGrass party starting Thursday, March 30th at 2pm with free live music from The Sweet Lililes.

Shows throughout the weekend will run from 11am to 1pm and will conclude with the Tray Wellington Band on Friday 31st March, Saturday 1st April and Sunday 2nd April at Sicard Hollow.

Thursday’s show will also have a cash bar, with proceeds benefitting Sierra Relief Kitchen.

All performances are free and will take place outside of the Winter WonderGrass festival, which is held the same weekend.

Meadows and Lost Whiskey Engines After Dark

Grass After Dark returns this year to the Alibi Ale Works Truckee Commons featuring the Lost Whiskey Engine on Friday, March 31 at 8:30pm.

This show is $15 to attend.Music will start at 9:30pm

Lost Whiskey Engine is a group of progressive acoustic musicians from the Truckee/Tahoe area who draw influences from traditional folk and bluegrass to freeform jam rock.
