ERC and DIB partner for Pakistani flood victims’ housing

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) have entered a collaborative pact to build homes for flood-affected individuals in Pakistan’s Sindh Province. Under this agreement, the bank will allocate AED5 million for home construction, with project oversight by the ERC.

This marks an elevated level of teamwork between the two entities to provide humanitarian aid and support the country’s relief efforts.

The agreement underscores their commitment to alleviating flood victims’ suffering, enhancing living conditions, and addressing the needs of marginalized communities.

The signing was carried out by Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Deputy Secretary-General of the ERC for Local Affairs Sector, and Nawaf Abdullah Al Rayssi, Deputy Vice-President of DIB and Head of Community Support Services.

Their discussions focused on strengthening their humanitarian and developmental collaboration, launching projects for the ERC’s beneficiaries, and emphasizing the importance of such partnerships to address increasing humanitarian requirements.
