After traversing the Al Maha Forest in Abu Dhabi, Etihad Rail has launched another scenic route. Dubai’s longest train bridge is now in operation. Al Qudra has an 86 km cycle path and there are many artificial lakes. Residents in surrounding communities have expressed their joy at seeing the train. The area is always buzzing. If you’re lucky enough to glance out the window at the right moment, you may occasionally catch a glimpse of the railroad on the tracks.
The national rail system and Khalifa Port are connected by a 1km sea bridge, of which Etihad Rail provided a glimpse last week. This reduces shipping costs while increasing the efficiency of product shipments.

The train system achieved a number of targets last year, including completing 75 percent of its 1,200-kilometre network. Etihad Rail’s passenger service will link 11 cities in the UAE. Passengers can travel from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah in 100 minutes and from Abu Dhabi to Dubai in 50 minutes at a top speed of 200 km/h.
Train commuting times are expected to be reduced by up to 40%. Annual passenger numbers are expected to exceed 36.5 million by 2030.
In the UAE, 11 cities and regions will be connected by passenger trains. Al Sila to Fujairah as well as Al Ruwais, Al Mirfa, Dubai, Sharjah, Al Dhaid and Abu Dhabi will be included.
