Etihad Airways has successfully switched to the Amadeus Altéa Passenger Service System (PSS), offering customers a more personalized experience and greater flexibility.
To celebrate the transition and Etihad’s 20th anniversary, the airline is launching a flash sale on etihad.com with 20% off flights with promo code EYFLASH20 until Tuesday (14 March) Midnight GST.
The migration to Amadeus Altéa was completed during an overnight switchover on 8 March 2023. All Etihad Airways flights between Abu Dhabi and its global network of airports are now managed by the Amadeus Altéa Travel Technology Suite, which provides faster and simpler check-in and boarding processes, said a statement.
Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said: “Amadeus provides us with the tools we need to continue to enhance the guest experience and improve our operations going forward. com or use our mobile app and self-service tools, giving them greater control and flexibility when managing their journey.

“The migration to Amadeus was our largest IT project in the last ten years, migrating over 100 IT processes and training over 6,000 colleagues on the new system. Every element of the transition was planned and rehearsed, and every stages have been rigorously tested. I would like to thank all my colleagues and business partners who have worked so hard to make this happen.”
With Amadeus Altéa now fully live, Etihad customers can use all online services including flight bookings, check-in, upgrades and GuestSeat redemption bookings at etihad.com, mobile apps and travel agents, it said. – trade arab news agency
