Clergy, senior scholars, doctors, education specialists, etc. are eligible; here are the details of the requirements they must meet
More specialists will soon be able to apply UAE Ten Year Golden Visa In Abu Dhabi, according to the website of the local government entity.
In addition to the general category of skilled professionals, the Abu Dhabi Residents Office (Adro) has listed four other specialists who are eligible for long-term residency. These include senior academics and clergy, as well as elite experts in the fields of industry and the Fourth Industrial Revolution; the field of health; and education.
While the criteria or details of salary requirements have not been specified, guidelines on Adro’s website currently state that these experts must submit references from relevant government entities, as well as their professional licenses, if applicable. “Applications will open soon after the implementation of the new Abu Dhabi visa category,” Adro said.
Below are the requirements for the Abu Dhabi Specialist category:
1. Senior Scholars and Clergy
>> Letter of recommendation from the Ministry of Culture and Youth or local authorities
2. Industrial experts and the fourth industrial revolution
>> Letter of recommendation from Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology or local authority
3. Experts in the field of health
>> Letter of recommendation from Ministry of Health or Abu Dhabi Health Authority
>> A valid license to operate in the UAE
4. Education experts
>> Letter of recommendation from Ministry of Education or Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge
>> A valid license to operate in the UAE
The Adro website states that information related to golden visas is “subject to change due to new information, changes in processes, standards and requirements”.
5. Skilled professionals
>> Approved Employment Contracts in the UAE
>> Evidence that the applicant holds a position classified as Level 1 or 2 under the Mohr Occupational Classification Scheme
>> Proven bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
>> Occupational license valid in the emirate or UAE
>> Employment certificate

>> Assuming a role classified by the Mohr Occupational Classification Scheme
>>Minimum academic qualification of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
>> Minimum monthly salary of Dh30, 000 or equivalent.
>> If required (such as doctor, pharmacist, teacher, etc.), please hold a valid practicing license in the UAE.
>>Salary certificate issued by the employer, and the bank statement of the last 6 months, showing a monthly salary of not less than Dh30,000
Applicants can visit the Adro website for a link to self-nominate. Additionally, applicants may submit entries online through the Commonwealth Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) website.
6. Scientists or researchers
For master’s and doctoral degree holders:
>> Master’s or PhD degrees in Engineering, Technology, Life and Natural Sciences.
>> Equivalency certificate issued by the Ministry of Education.
>> Displays links or screenshots with a Field Weighted Citation Index (FWCI) rating of 1.0 or higher.
>> Show links or screenshots with an H-index rating of 10 or higher.
>> Resume
For Scopus H-index applicants:
>> Show links or screenshots in the H-index > 20 range.
>> Resume
For applicants with achievements in research and development:
>> Master’s or PhD degrees in Engineering, Technology, Life and Natural Sciences.
>> Achievements in setting up scientific and technological R&D departments within and outside the UAE.
>> Link or screenshot showing Scopus H-index rating (optional)
