Rear Admiral Leonard C. ‘Butch’ Dollaga
Major General Doraga, a native of Vallejo, graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He holds a master’s degree in engineering management from George Washington University in Washington, DC. His sea travels included division officer assignments aboard USS Los Angeles (SSN 688); engineer officer aboard USS Rhode Island (SSBN 740)(B); and executive officer aboard USS Cheyenne (SSN 773). He commanded the USS Charlotte (SSN 766) from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and served as a Commodore with the 12th Submarine Development Squadron in Groton, Connecticut.
His shore and staff assignments include admissions officer at the U.S. Naval Academy; technical assistant to the director of Naval Nuclear Propulsion; nuclear officer program manager and submarine officer community manager on the staff of the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education); submarine officer Force Commander, Associate Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet Instructor (Submarine Command Course); Chief, Joint Staff (J8) Directorate of Programs and Budget Division (Programme and Budget Analysis Division); Director, Congressional Liaison Appropriations Office (FMBE), serving the Navy Assistant Secretary (FM&C) staff.
His flag assignments include commander of the Underwater Warfare Development Center in Groton, Connecticut, and most recently as commander of the 7th Submarine Group/TF 54/TF 74, leading CENTCOM and India Pacific Command is responsible for regional underwater operations.
He completed three overseas deployments with Indo-Pacific Command and five strategic deterrence patrols in the Atlantic. The units he served received a total of four Unit Awards, five Combat “Es” and the U.S. Pacific Fleet’s Arleigh Burke Fleet Trophy.

A total of 3,162 students achieved a grade of B-+ (3.5) or higher to enter the listing. To be placed on the Honor Roll, students must complete at least 6 graded hours of coursework.
