ABU DHABI – The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) was recently awarded the Internal Audit Leading Practice Award for its anti-fraud practices in the government sector.
FANR’s recognition was awarded by the Emirates Institute of Internal Auditors as part of the 7th Annual Internal Audit Leading Practice Awards held during the 21st Annual Regional Audit Congress.
The award proposal submitted by FANR included several innovative practices, including FANR’s comprehensive anti-fraud and support governance framework, a state-of-the-art whistle-blowing “Reporting to Protection (R2P)” system, the application of data analytics, agile methodologies and collaboration embodying innovation, compliance with international Framework for Professional Practice.
This approach is supported by exemplary leadership and highly qualified and qualified staff who have achieved high performance at FANR.

The award was received at an event that brought together more than 1,500 global internal audit professionals, senior executives and key decision makers from the MENA region, as well as government and private industry.
