The iconic Emirates A380, the world’s largest commercial passenger aircraft, took the lead in the formation, accompanied by the UAE’s air display team, Al Fursan, creating a striking V formation. The sky was adorned with vivid red, green, and black smoke trails as the aircraft showcased precision and skill.

Following in the formation were an Emirates Boeing 777, an Etihad Airbus 350, an Air Arabia Airbus 320, and a flydubai Boeing 737. These aircraft gracefully soared through the skies, leaving the audience and aviation enthusiasts in awe.

Maintaining an altitude of 100 meters, the Emirates A380 was a visual spectacle. Close behind, the Emirates Boeing 777 flew at an altitude of 160 meters, both featuring Emirates’ dynamic new signature livery, adding to the captivating visual display in motion.

This aerial achievement was the result of months of meticulous planning and collaboration among various stakeholders. Teams from Emirates, other UAE carriers, the UAE Ministry of Defence, UAE Military, Emirates pilots, Flight Operation Managers, and Air Traffic Controllers worked closely on the coordination.

Coordination extended to the Dubai Air Show Flying Control Committee and aviation authorities DCAA and GCAA, addressing various aspects such as air traffic patterns, flight paths, and weather conditions.

Spectators were left in awe, with many expressing their desire to return for the next airshow. Aiste Ruzgiene, a Lithuanian resident, described the experience as “amazing” and expressed interest in returning next year.

A Kenyan visitor, Barasa, expressed excitement and committed to saving up for a return visit specifically for the airshow, highlighting the event’s spectacular nature. Kelsey Johnson, a Canadian expat working in the aviation industry, emphasized the unique atmosphere of the Dubai Airshow, where industry professionals showcase their offerings, and the aerial displays remain a perennial favorite.
Continued Aerial Acrobatics
For the remaining days of the airshow, from Tuesday, November 14, to Friday, November 17, spectators can continue to enjoy daily aerial acrobatics from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Skyview Grandstand at Dubai World Center.
