Some of the city’s best restaurants will be offering dishes for just Dh10 as part of the Dubai Food Festival (DFF), which kicks off on Friday 21 April. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of DFF’s ‘Dh10 Signature Dish’ concept, 300 restaurants will be offering their best dishes for Dh10 throughout the 17-day festival.
From April 21st to May 7th, DFF will present the best lineup of the year so far. Organizers said participating restaurants were handpicked after looking at a number of factors including cuisine, location, price and awards. “This is also an opportunity for high-end restaurants to offer their dishes to a wider audience at lower prices,” a spokesman said.
Other highlights during DFF include foodie experiences, Dubai Restaurant Week, a photo contest and the much-anticipated Etisalat Beach Canteen.
experience activities
The culinary experience will include more than 100 experiential events as well as masterclasses, chef’s table and culinary collaborations. Activities Dubai residents can sign up for include craft workshops for kids, guided kitchen tours, 6-hands dinners and omakase experiences.
A section titled “Chefs in Town” will feature some of the city’s best home-grown award-winning chefs who will be involved in a variety of events. Gourmets can choose to dine with Michelin-starred chef Akmal Anuar, or savor a 9-course caviar with Gregoire Berger.
The hugely popular Etisalat Beach Canteen pop-up is returning to Jumeirah Beach with over 50 restaurants serving a variety of cuisines. It will feature multiple areas, including Islands of Adventure, DFF Memory Lane, a farm-to-table concept and entertainment areas.
