For UAE National Day, Sharjah Council mulls 10-day celebration

The Sharjah Executive Council has examined a proposal for a 10-day celebration of the UAE’s 52nd National Day. These festivities will span across all cities and regions of Sharjah, featuring various activities like parades, cultural displays, aerial performances, and entertainment shows.

Numerous events, workshops, and competitions will aim to foster community and unity values. The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

In the previous year, Sharjah hosted National Day celebrations from November 24 to December 3. UAE National Day falls on December 2, commemorating the Emirates’ unification in 1971, and it grants employees of both public and private sectors paid holidays on December 2 and 3.
