The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) announced on Sunday that the single sign-on functionality for Emirates Pass – the first national digital identity – has been introduced to the EmaraTax platform.
In a statement, the FTA said tax system registrants can use the UAE Pass across all programs and services on the EmaraTax platform, which is available through the FTA official website, furthering the comprehensive digital transformation that is taking place across the UAE.
The authority said the new features were rolled out in cooperation with the relevant authorities to meet the highest standards of security, confidentiality and accuracy of information and procedures in an effort to speed up processes, improve user experience and meet customers’ wishes.
Abdulla Al Bastaki, Executive Director, Information Technology, FTA, called on all FTA customers to take advantage of the new features and activate their UAE Pass accounts, then use them quickly and easily from the convenience of their devices and smartphones, without the need to set up new usernames and passwords.
Abdulla Al Bastaki explained that the launch of the single sign-on functionality with UAE Pass is part of the continuous development and upgrading of government services, using the UAE’s advanced digital infrastructure, which is the most developed not only in the region but also internationally.
“All of this is made possible by our wise leadership’s forward-looking vision to anticipate the future through strategies and initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of government systems, improving the quality of life of individuals, creating a sustainable environment, and Promote the happiness and well-being of the community,” he said.
“The agreement is also designed to provide added value to users, enabling them to save time, cost and effort, while providing them with faster service processing times and greater flexibility in data communication.”
