A new showroom is gearing up to push the UAE car market as GAC Motor showcases its first outpost Abu Dhabi.
Opened in partnership with Abu Dhabi Racing Management, the facility is located in the shadow of Yas Marina Circuit, home of UAE racing.
To mark the occasion, car enthusiasts and guests flocked to the island for a lavish event hosted by Gargash Group dignitaries.
This exhibition also marks GAC GS8, a new product aimed at breaking into a market dominated by the Nissan Patrol and Toyota Land Cruiser. Other GAC models will be launched in the near future.
Shehab Gargash, Managing Director and Group CEO of Gargash Group, said: “We are proud to be one of GAC Trumpchi’s earliest international partners.
“Since 2015, we have been working closely together to provide strong advice and provide the best value to our growing client base in the UAE.”
The manufacturer produces a range of sedans, SUVs and MPVs worldwide, as well as Aion Y electric products.
The new showroom on Yas Island is part of a move to enter the UAE market with other Chinese brands – notably MG, Haval, Geely and Great Wall.
Zeng Hebin, general manager of GAC International, said that the UAE is one of the most important strategic regions for the brand in the Middle East.
“With our partner Gargash Motors, we have achieved remarkable results in this market,” he said.
GAC’s global sales continued to grow, reporting an 84% increase in sales last month compared to the previous year.
