Let’s see what else we got to learn about Ghassan Saliba and Stage Properties Brokers through our interview with him.
Ghassan Saliba , How did you start your career?
I started my career in the Real Estate Industry in Dubai, UAE, in 2004 as a Property Consultant & closed deals worth more than 4 billion AED sales with investors and end-users across the globe.
I have been managing two Real Estate Brokerage Firms and multiple Property Development companies since 2014 in Dubai.
Later on, I decided to step down from Damac Properties as Head of Sales, where I achieved the highest target even during the global pandemic. As a result, I was awarded many certificates and appreciation, and it was one of the greatest experiences I ever had in my entire journey.
When have you decided to open your company?
I always had a plan to open my own Real Estate company, and at last, I established it in December 2020. When every company was abending their employees, I was the one who was hiring experienced Real Estate Advisors who could achieve the numbers and could be a part of the Stage family.
What is the next milestone?
My goal is to rank Stage Properties Brokers under “20 Brokerages agencies in Dubai.” Within a year, my team and I were nominated for ALLIANCE BY EMAAR and RISING STAR by Damac and awarded by Deyaar TOP 20 Agents of Q3 2021.
What are the challenges you faced as a CEO?
The challenge you may face in Dubai is the competitive market with the presence of top brokers who started their operations between 8 to 12 years back.
What are your strong points?
We have a strong database of clients who bought properties from us, and we are doing property management for them as well. They always refer us to their friends and relatives because of our relation and transparency and not over-promising them in something that we are not able to deliver.
What do you call yourself – agent, CEO, investor, or what?
A motivator, this is what I call myself. Managing thousands of agents for a couple of years and being an agent since 2004, I genuinely understand how to cooperate with my team. For example, for the Sunday briefing, we discuss new projects and work on a strategic plan for the entire week.
We study every released project before setting up campaigns and marketing plans to ensure that it is the right investment option to offer our clients.
What are your work ethics in serving your clients?
We do not promote projects that we believe are overpriced or don’t have a good investment. Instead, we offer those projects we are convinced to buy for ourselves in case we need to invest or live in.
We are expanding our office and increasing our team from 38 to 80 members. In addition, we will have an in-house short-term lease team and mortgage team to manage clients’ portfolios.
What we can offer at STAGE PROPERTIES BROKERS is commitment, transparency, and after-sales service.
Furthermore, since we have over 17 years of real estate experience in Dubai, clients can get additional confidence in cooperating with us. We manage follow-ups, contract signatures, payment allocation, handover process, and legalities all the way through for renting or selling clients’ units during construction.
We don’t have a limited target. Starting January 2022, we will start every Saturday open houses in Dubai as well as international roadshows in many countries starting in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, etc.
Who are you, and what is the Stage?
I started my real estate career in Dubai in 2004. I returned to Lebanon and opened a chain of restaurants called Maysoun that continued till 2014. However, unfortunately, the country’s situation didn’t allow us to proceed.
So, we sold almost everything and opened a new concept called Mamounia, which is still operating to date. After that, I never stopped real estate and managed big property development companies in the UAE.
I opened the Stage in December 2020, and everyone told me that it’s not the right time to open on your own. However, I decided to start with it and follow my ambitions.
What makes you different from cooperating with compared to any other company?
There are undoubtedly great big companies in the market, but each one has a different strategy and different network.
Regarding Stage, I handpicked my advisors before recruiting them, and each person has a different character.
My sales team speaks almost all languages, and we distribute clients depending on language and dedicated project specialists.
What I always train and advise my team is to handle and serve our clients on perfect terms because each client will refer another client for you.
How did you manage to recover from the covid pandemic?
This is one of the questions that I would really like to talk about.
First of all, I am 100% sure every person in the UAE during the pandemic is still thankful to the government and rulers of UAE for the great efforts and amazing and professional way of dealing with covid.
Furthermore, the residents of UAE played an amazing role in cooperating with rules and obeying orders to avoid any problems and to complete their job done without hassle.
The country is really open in terms of business, and expo 2020 welcomed 17.5 Million visitors. So far, even with the presence of the pandemic (Covid-19), the real estate market growth was 17% in 2021 and had a market value worth AED 151 Billion.
The crucial reason we normally live in the UAE while some other countries are still in lockdown is that we obey the rules and follow the instructions of higher authorities.
God blesses people with no limit for their creativity and achievement, which encourages everyone to have the same feeling and succeed in his job to exceed everything like there is no limit.
