Golden Knights pregame entertainment is second to none

[ad_1]

VGK fans know that any home game show starts before the puck drops.

People expect to be amazed when they come to Las Vegas, and the entertainment department of the Knights does not disappoint,

It’s a storyline that’s been building all season.

The Cavaliers battle it all out for the ultimate prize.

Behind the scenes, the team understands the task.

“It was the Stanley Cup Final, and we had to outdo ourselves and bring in a dragon and a drummer, suspended in mid-air as Fort’s game-day opening act,” said Andrew Abrams, vice president of entertainment and production and executive producer. explain. “Vegas is an entertainment city, and if we don’t match up in game entertainment on the ice, we’re doing something unfair.

Las Vegas is known throughout the NHL and the sports world for hosting exhibition games.

Andrew Abrams, VGK’s vice president and executive producer of entertainment and production, said everything fans see is produced in-house, from animation to special effects.

“Drummer from the rafters is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time,” Abrams said. “The planning took almost three weeks, we had to sign off, we had to go through safety training.”

Fan engagement is important, Abrams said.

Even after the rally-towel-fluttering national anthem, the work of his staff continued.

“Our shows can change in an instant like that,” said Tyler Ferraro, senior manager of entertainment experience and production.

Tyler Ferraro produced and directed the entire game.

“If these guys pop a goal, we’ll make sure we’re ready to do noise graphics, or if we feel like they need a little extra oomph, let the Cavaliers start and move on,” Ferraro said.

Every member of the VGK staff feels the enormity of what is at stake.

“Ask me again with 30 seconds left in the third quarter, how would I feel if we played,” Ferraro said.

They know it’s one game at a time.

Players have their jobs to do.

The entertainment team have theirs.

“I’ve never worked a day since I started coming to the Vegas Golden Knights,” Ferraro said. “I haven’t worked a day since I’ve been here, 100%”

The entertainment/production crew totaled 15 people. Four of them have been here since their first year. If you count some kind of monster lizard, there are five people.

They said it was interesting to see what the organization was doing.
