Founded in Los Angeles in 1985, Guns N’ Roses has had a changing lineup over the years. Their current lineup includes Rose, Slash, McKagan, Richard Fortus on guitar, Frank Ferrer on drums and Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese on keyboards.
The band rose to fame with the release of their debut album Desire for Destruction (1987), which included hits such as “Welcome to the Jungle”, “City of Paradise” and “My Sweet Child”. Their second album, GN’ R Lies (1988), was a lesser success, but their third, Use Your Illusion I and II (1991), propelled the band to the top of their popularity. The latter album included covers of “You Could Be Mine,” “Life and Death,” and “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” as well as the ballad trilogy “Don’t Cry,” “November Rain,” and ” Alienation”.
The band also released the Spaghetti Affair ? (1993) and Chinese Democracy (2008).
Despite the years that have passed, the band members are still active performers. The band’s two-year We’re F’N’ Back! tour (2021-2023) covers hundreds of concerts on several continents.
