Hailee Steinfeld opens up about her time at Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse And potential spinoffs of fan-favorite characters.

Stanfield, who voices Gwen, talked about working with Shay Whigham, who played her father in the film. She described the scene with Whigham as “very emotional, very touching”.
“Thankfully, I was able to be in the room with Shea Whigham when we were shooting those scenes,” she said.
“We’d already done it ourselves based on each other’s readings, but then the filmmakers asked us to do it together. So, in a way I kind of like it because I already know it so well. A lot of times, we’d be in a few days I didn’t get the material before, if that was the case, so I had to live with it and get a very clear picture of Gwen and where she was coming from in those scenes with her dad.”
She seemed surprised when asked if she’d heard the talk of a Gwen Stacy spinoff. However, she replied with a smile: “I know, but I haven’t heard of this.”
