Through our interview below, we will learn more about Hala Dahbour and Organizer, the ultimate freelancer house.
Explain the background of you and the company in detail.
From humble beginnings, Organizer is a freelancer house providing support to business operations in the UAE and worldwide. Organizer is your business buddy, providing services to make your life easier from data entry, virtual assistance, social media management, digital marketing, unlimited admin support services, fashion styling, and more. We work closely with our clients and help them the best we can! Organizer is here to help.
What are your goals?
Two words – Freedom and happiness. The daily grind that comes with a career isn’t self-sustaining, and I want to eventually spend as much time with my family and loved ones as well as travel the world.
What do you feel is the biggest strength of yourself/company right now?
There are many platforms out there that provide freelance services. However, Organizer freelancers go through a top screening and testing process to ensure they produce quality work. We are more about the quality of freelancers and their various skills rather than quantity. We don’t play the “let’s see” game. Instead, we ensure our clients get quality service and are happy to work further with us.
Additionally, we work based on the client’s budget. The Organizer freelancers and their client agree on the rate. The fact is that freelancers are the future of work.
What was the path you/your company took to get to where you are today?
What inspired me was my career in consulting. Consulting teaches you to be your own CEO. You manage yourself, your time, your team, and your clients. It is very rare that a consultant “can’t do” a task. They can always learn and research online. This opened my eyes to the fact that anything is possible if one is committed and dedicated. Nothing is too hard, and everything has a solution somewhere somehow.
Why did you start (or want to be the head of) this company?
It’s all about helping businesses thrive, and I enjoy challenges.
What have been the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My main clientele is from the United States. Having lived in Canada and the UAE, It was hard to understand the US market regarding clients. It took several travels, networking, and connections to get to understand how mature and advanced this market is. It’s always exciting when we land a new client, and the US offers many platforms for freelancers to work on.
Give us one word that describes you the best.
Achiever
What makes you excited about Mondays?
Making a difference and leaving an impact. Every day is a new challenge. Also, I would like to add that every day, including weekends, is a Monday for me.
What do you believe your biggest strength is?
Being a third culture child brought up in an environment where it’s home away from home, I have learned to adapt and become thick-skinned. This has been reflected in my work ethics and my personal life as well. The harder you fall, the higher you bounce, and getting out of your comfort zone is always good.
What are the key values which helped you to overcome the roadblocks/challenges in your career? Tell us something about your memorable incident in your leadership?
Resilience, dedication, and lots of patience. No specific incident. However, I want to mention that every leader should lead with empathy. Employees have their backgrounds and experiences that impact how they show up at work, how issues affect them, and how they approach their professional goals.
How do you see the company changing in two years, and how do you see yourself creating that change?
A successful business will keep evolving. There is always room for innovation. I am sure that with the speed at which Organizer is going, it will grow in 2 years’ time to something much bigger. I, myself, will not create this change. We are all part of creating change. I aspire to see Organizer make more business buddies over the years.
