His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), received His Excellency Nguyễn Mạnh Tuấn, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the UAE. Al Tayer pointed out that Dubai attaches great importance to sustainable development and transition to a green economy. According to the “2050 Dubai Clean Energy Strategy”, it will increase its dependence on clean and renewable energy. By 2050, 100% of Dubai’s total power generation capacity will come from clean energy. In order to achieve this With one goal in mind, DEWA has launched a number of green initiatives and initiatives, most notably the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the world’s largest single-site solar park based on independent electricity production Business (IPP) mode, and its production by 2030, the installed capacity will reach 5,000 MW.
During the meeting, Al Tayer discussed ways to strengthen economic relations between the UAE and Vietnam and explore joint investment opportunities in various fields, including energy and water.
His Excellency Nguyen Manh Tuan commended the progress made by the UAE and Dubai in the field of renewable energy. He expressed Vietnam’s interest in learning from the UAE’s experience, noting the importance of strengthening business relations with Vietnamese companies in the UAE.
