A crane at a construction site in Hong Kong has collapsed, killing three workers and injuring six others.
The crane landed on some containers used as temporary offices.
Fire official Yan Yingjie said some workers were inside the container when the crane fell shortly before 11am local time (4am BST) on Wednesday.
A man was pronounced dead at the Kowloon scene after a fractured skull and another died after being taken to hospital, authorities said.
Rescue teams spent hours trying to find a third man trapped under the wreckage, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
According to reports, the crane is 30 meters high, has a boom of 35 meters and weighs 65 tons.
Mr Yan said it was running when it collapsed but was not carrying any load.
According to the South China Morning Post, the accident site was part of a construction site for a subsidized public housing project aimed at building 19,000 units.
Labour and Welfare Secretary Sun Chris has ordered the shutdown.
Hong Kong leader John Lee said the Labour Department would investigate the incident and inspect construction sites with cranes to ensure they meet safety standards.
