How to donate to the UAE’s 1 Billion Meals Drive

Dubai: The One Billion Meals Donation campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, offers five channels through which individuals and institutions can Channel donates to Dubai. The 1 Billion Meal Donation campaign engages all community groups in creating a food safety net for vulnerable populations. Individuals, government entities, private businesses, businessmen and influential philanthropists in the UAE are welcome to donate through the campaign’s website, SMS, bank transfer, dedicated call center or the DubaiNow app.

Individuals and organizations can send their donations to the 1 Billion Meals Donation website (www.1billionmeals.ae).

A dedicated call center with toll-free access (800 9999) will also take calls from donors to arrange their donations.

Donations are also welcome via bank transfer in UAE dirhams to the campaign’s official bank account at NBD, UAE (account number: AE30 0260 0010 1533 3439 802).

The campaign offers the option to donate via text message, where donors can choose to donate a dirham per day via monthly subscription by sending the word ‘Meal’ to 1020 for du users and 1110 for Etisalat for e& users.

Another option available is to send the word “Meal” to the following numbers (du and Etisalat for UAE E& users) to donate once depending on the donation amount: 1034 Dh10 donation, 1035 Dh50 donation, 1036 Dh100 donation and 1038 Dh500 donation.

Partnering with Smart Dubai to facilitate donations from individuals, institutions and businesses within the UAE, donations to the ‘1 Billion Meals Donation’ campaign can be made through the DubaiNow app and can be found under the Donations tab.

The Billion Meal Donation campaign aims to provide a food safety net for the world’s poorest and support vulnerable groups, especially victims of natural disasters and conflicts around the world. On the other hand, the campaign reinforces the UAE’s efforts to support the global fight against hunger, which tops the United Nations list of 17 Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.

The 1 Billion Meals Donation, organized by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, reflects the Foundation’s values ​​and mission of engaging all community actors in humanitarian work and advancing food security for the world’s poorest people.
