Hydrogen Cars: Abu Dhabi Tour Company Expanding Fleet-1

Hydrogen Cars In the wake of COP28’s positive impact, an Abu Dhabi-based tours and logistics company is gearing up for a significant fleet enhancement. The company, Nirvana Tours and Logistics (NTL), a subsidiary of Nirvana Holding, is set to integrate hydrogen-powered cars from a leading Emirati energy sector specialist, MMEC Mannesmann.

Trialing Cutting-Edge Hydrogen-Fueled Cars

NTL, known for managing various services, including hotel bookings, transportation, and event management, plans to conduct trials with six cutting-edge hydrogen-fueled cars from MMEC Mannesmann—a local expert in oil, gas, mining, and renewable energy sectors.

Addressing the Urgency: Transport Emissions and Sustainability Goals: Hydrogen Cars

Transport emissions have seen an annual average growth of 1.7 percent from 1990 to 2022, according to the International Energy Agency. To align with the global goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, the transport sector needs to witness a reduction of over 3 percent annually by 2030.

Top officials from NTL and MMEC Mannesmann underscored the collaborative effort’s alignment with UAE leadership’s directives and the national sustainability agenda.
