IIFA Awards 2023 come to Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi

The 23rd International Academy of Indian Film (IIFA) Awards will be held on May 26-27, 2023 at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

The awards are organized in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral Etihad Arena For the second year in a row. The awards are produced by Wizcraft International Entertainment and sponsored by Sobha Realty and Nexa by Maruti Suzuki.

Saleh Mohamed Saleh Al Geziry, Director, DCT Abu Dhabi Tourism, said: “We are delighted to host the IIFA Awards again in Abu Dhabi as it marks an important turning point in our vibrant entertainment calendar. Our relationship with India is based on a shared culture As well as economic interests, the fact that Abu Dhabi is the location for many Bollywood blockbusters furthers our relationship and brings people all over the world to know about our amazing country,” said Noreen Khan, IIFA Vice President, who thanked Support from DCT Abu Dhabi and Miral teams.

IIFA Awards Two Days Schedule

IIFA awards are distributed in two days. Tickets can be purchased at the Etihad Arena website.

The first day is scheduled for Friday 26th May with a flash mob at the Anya Academy of Dance outside the Etihad Arena. This will be followed by IIFA Rocks, a celebration of Indian music, dance and fashion, hosted by filmmaker Farah Khan and actor Rajkummar Rao. Singers like Amit Trivedi, Badshah, Sunidhi Chauhan, Nucleya, Sukhbir Singh were part of the evening’s entertainment.

The event will culminate with the IIFA Awards Gala on Saturday, May 27th. The evening will be hosted by Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal. The evening will feature performances by Bollywood superstars Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Nora Fatehi and Rakul Preet Singh.

Awards recognize ‘outstanding’ talent

This year, veteran actor Kamal Haasan will receive the “Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema” award. Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza will receive the “Outstanding Achievement in Regional Cinema” and designer Manish Malhotra will receive the “Outstanding Achievement in Film Fashion”. The awards ceremony will feature an exclusive presentation from the designer, who is celebrating 25 years in fashion.

The line-up of Bollywood stars and big names expected to attend the event includes Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Boni Kapoor, Busan Kumar, R. Madawan, Sunny Kaushal, Moonee Roy, Isha Gupta, Mrunal Thakur, Dia Mirza, Raashii Khanna, Sheeba Chaddha, Neelam Kothari, Bhavna Pandey, Maheep Kapoor , Seema Sajdeh, Ramesh Taurani, etc.
