The third was originally scheduled for April 2020 to coincide with Hannover Messe 2020. However, it was postponed and subsequently held online due to restrictions imposed to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The fourth GMIS was held in Dubai last November.
GMIS America will explore key topics such as the global energy transition, the future of the hydrogen industry, decarbonization, industrial circular solutions, scaling additive manufacturing, digital technologies, and explore how the Industrial Internet of Things is disrupting production models.
“The GMIS America Forum will provide us with the opportunity to present the Pittsburgh story to the world, while serving as a global platform to encourage cross-border collaboration between U.S. manufacturers, the UAE and international players to shape the future of the industry, create new value, reduce emissions,” said Neil Weaver, acting secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
