The Central Committee for Secondary Education (CBSE) said on Thursday that the first semester committee examinations for the 10th and 12th grades will be held offline from November to December, and the test date will be announced on October 18. The committee stated that the exam will be of an objective type and the exam time will be 90 minutes. Taking into account the winter, the exam will start at 11.30 am instead of 10.30 am.
In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the CBSE announced in July that part of the special evaluation plan for the 10th and 12th grade board examinations for 2021-22 will separate academic meetings, hold two final exams and rationalize the syllabus.
“After the first semester exams are over, the results in the form of scores will be announced. After the first semester, no students will be placed in the pass, compartment, and basic repeat categories. The final results will be in the first and second semesters. It will be announced after the exam,” said Sanyam Bhardwaj, director of CBSE exams.
“The practical exam or internal assessment will be completed at the school before the end of the first semester exam. The assigned score will account for 50% of the total score and will be mentioned in the syllabus. The school will be informed of the complete plan separately so that they can do the necessary Prepare,” he added.
Bhardwaj further stated that the second semester exam will be held from March to April 2022, and whether it is an objective type or a subjective type will depend on the country’s Covid situation.
