1.24 million Indian tourists to visit Dubai in first 9 months of 2022, most among all foreign tourists

The UAE has emerged as a very popular global destination among travelers, especially those from India, during this festive season, a new survey has revealed.

India to UAE is the 10th busiest corridor globally for family bookings during the festive season, according to an analysis report published by Saber Corporation, the largest global airline reservation distribution system provider in North America.

India was Dubai Airport’s top country destination in terms of traffic, recording 6.8 million passengers in the first nine months of the year.

Likewise, Dubai is also rated very highly as a tourist destination by Indian tourists, especially families, during the festive season.

According to statistics released by Dubai’s Ministry of Economy and Tourism, 1.24 million Indian tourists visited Dubai in the first nine months of 2022, the most among all foreign tourists.

In winter, tourists from all over the world flock to Dubai to enjoy the pleasant weather and shopping during the Dubai Shopping Festival. Economic activity in the emirate also peaks during this period.

Second place: South Korea vs Japan

1st place: US to Mexico

“The UAE is a popular destination for Indian travelers looking to spend time with their partners and families due to the easing of travel restrictions, affordable accommodation options and shorter travel times between the two countries,” said US firm Saber Corp.

“Family travelers worldwide are increasingly choosing to travel to the UAE, while Thailand is a popular destination for couples,” it added.
