IndiGo has announced the launch of new Lucknow-Abu Dhabi and Ahmedabad-Abu Dhabi routes effective 12 July 2023 and 11 August 2023 respectively. The flights are designed to enhance international connectivity and meet growing travel demand to the Middle East, thereby enhancing IndiGo’s connectivity with Abu Dhabi.
Currently, IndiGo operates flights to Abu Dhabi from five major Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Cochin and Hyderabad. The addition of these routes will improve the accessibility and convenience for passengers traveling from northern and western India to the cosmopolitan capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo, said: “As part of our mission to improve mobility and connect India with international markets, we launched the Lucknow-Abu Dhabi and Al Ahmedabad-Abu Dhabi new flights. Over the years, Abu Dhabi has become a world-class tourist destination. The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism recently announced plans to attract 24 million tourists by 2023. IndiGo’s additional flights will allow people to discover more entertainment and travel options in Abu Dhabi.
