The presence of common economic interests between Iran and the UAE will help expand trade and economic activities, while free trade agreements, duty-free and bartering of goods can boost trade between the two countries, said the chairman of the Iran-UAE Joint Chamber of Commerce.
In an interview with IRNA on Saturday, Erfan Shakeri noted that expert-level talks had been held with senior officials and private sector activists in the United Arab Emirates to invest within the framework of the joint venture.
Tehran and Abu Dhabi have high capabilities and potential to expand cooperation in the fields of trade, production and investment, he said, adding that the private sector is seeking to pave the way for the development of relations in various economic sectors.
Referring to the $40 billion worth of trade between the two countries over the past few years, he said the signing of the trade and economic agreement helped significantly boost mutual trade.
Elsewhere in his speech, the chairman of the Iran-UAE Joint Chamber of Commerce pointed out that if the two countries sign agreements in various economic fields, it will pave the way to stimulate exports and investment.
