Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira launched a daring fight against defending champion Islam Makhachev immediately after his sensational comeback at UFC 289 last month to defeat Bernier Dariusz. Challenge, requiring a rematch.

A recent report by combat sports journalist Aaron Bronsteter revealed that the Brazilian has made it clear that he will not be preparing to fight Maha at UFC 294, scheduled for October 21, 2023, at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. Chef bout:
