JB Gill’s kids love helping out on his farm.
The pop star-turned-farmer’s son Ace, 7, and daughter Chiara, 3, and his wives Chloe Tangney and JB revealed their children were already keen on farmers.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, JB, 35, said: “Ace has been involved from a very young age, and Chiara is very good with livestock, especially chickens. She can go and feed them herself and empty their coop. They love Hanging out on the farm with me gave Chloe a little time. It was great to be able to share with them.”
JLS singer JB admits homeschooling is too much for everyone during the COVID-19 lockdown, and the farm is a big distraction.
He said: “We’ve seen the most during the pandemic. Everyone has been hit hard during that time, but for us there’s enough space to even go out for a walk. It’s been a challenge during homeschooling, To be able to go out for 10 or 15 minutes for a walk and come back, it’s great to have it.”
JB is currently working on “Suppertime Sonnets” for Tenderstem, a podcast that translates Tenderstem recipes into Shakespeare sonnet form, and he explains that he loves cooking.
He said: “I cook a lot at home. I love to cook, I’ve always loved cooking. My mum always involved me in cooking and was passionate about food. Of course now I’m a farmer because well, so I Passionate about fresh produce and seasonal food, I get my own kids involved too.
“We have turkeys, pigs and chickens, but we also have a lot of produce right now. We have an orchard. We grow apples, two pears and cherries. It’s very important to eat as much as possible on time. Produce that’s in season tastes better and is easy to buy. So, you can shop locally and it’s good for the environment.”
“To me, cooking has always been about having fun, expressing yourself and not feeling like you have to be perfect. Cooking is always with a touch of love, and if you have fun in the kitchen, make a meal for you and your family Family, this is a great way.
