Jennifer Lawrence feels ‘guilty’ as a mother | Entertainment

[ad_1]

Jennifer Lawrence has struggled with her mother’s guilt.

The Oscar-winning actress gave birth to a baby boy named Cy in February, and Jennifer admits she’s still struggling with the demands of motherhood.

Jennifer, 32, who married Cook Maroney in 2019, explained: “Every single day of being a mum, I feel bad. I feel guilty.

“I was playing with him and I thought, ‘Is this something he wants to do? Should we be outside? We’re outside. What if he’s cold? What if he’s sick? Should we be inside??’ Is that enough? Is that enough to develop your brain?’”

Jennifer stars in the new psychodrama film Causeway Bay.

The acclaimed actress explains how overcoming childhood trauma led her to appear in the film, which centers on a soldier who suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Jennifer – who suffered from anxiety when she was younger – told Viola Davis on Variety’s “Actor-to-Actor” series: “I think in the process of going through childhood trauma, being an adult has a lot to do with It lives with it and can’t get rid of it, not being able to take medicine and make it go away, or have good treatment and make it go away…I mean, I’m not at all one to risk my life to save my country Hero; I’m an actor.

“But when I read ‘Causeway’, even though the circumstances were very different, but with this invisible hurt and knowing that healing isn’t linear—there’s a lot of progress and then a regress. She has this kind of very complicated relationship.

“I also had a wonderful childhood. I also had parents who loved me as much as they could and tried to be the best they could be. That’s also true.

“And I think we’ll be able to take this story apart and I’ll be able to add something, and if I can see another person go through it, and I can empathize with Lynsey, then I can start to understand how I might be able to empathize with myself. Empathy. So it’s really a healing process.”
