Judge Greg Mathis is living within his means so that he can give his grandchildren something.
The popular TV judge is known for his tenacious love and legal expertise, but he also uses his platform to teach financial responsibility.
The 61-year-old from Detroit shared a selfie on a commercial flight on Sunday. Although he may have made a fortune as an arbitrator for TV court programs, he shared that he chose to take a commercial flight instead of an expensive private flight in order to fund the college education of his grandchildren.
Therefore, if you see Judge Mathis on the next flight, you will not be too surprised because he has disclosed his choice for financial responsibility.
“Return to flying commercials,” the TV judges wrote in his headline. “Those private jets are paying for the education of my grandchildren. I always choose to fund universities for my children and grandchildren, not for my own convenience.”
Judge Mathis’ decision was praised, and many roommates expressed gratitude for his frankness and sacrifice for his children.
“Real parents will make sacrifices, and grandparents love it the most!” wrote a roommate.
Another said: “There is no need to explain how you spend your money to someone you can’t even match.”
The celebrity jeweler Ben Baller even interjected to confirm how expensive these private flights are.
“People forget that a private plane round trip from Los Angeles to Miami is $75,000. It’s about $250,000-300,000 to Asia (and the worst turbulence and the terrible experience of having to stop and refuel) seeing me in business and I often rent Don’t be surprised by a jet plane. Unless it’s not good for you, save your $$$$,” he said.
