Wednesday, April 28, 2021: Kelsey Johnson will represent Canada Miss Glamour 2021, It will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on October 11, 2021. She was crowned after entering the top 10 in the Miss Universe Canada competition in October last year.
The first Miss Glamour beauty pageant is expected to be held within 15 days and will welcome 40-50 beauty queens from all over the world. Lotte Legend Hotel Saigon. Each participant will have the opportunity to face the selection through interviews, activities and qualifier scores, release their true potential and attract the attention of beauty pageants worldwide.
“Miss Glamour is an excellent opportunity for women of all cultures and educational backgrounds to come together and celebrate who they are,” Kelsey said. “The franchise places great emphasis on connecting people from all over the world, expanding traditional and modern cultures, and cultivating a sense of self-worth.”
Kelsey attributes this success to the love and support of her friends and family. They have been the driving force behind all her efforts, including the beginning of her beauty pageant in 2011, when she was crowned as the young Miss London of the World at the age of 18. Her childhood bullying experience inspired her to build a self-based platform-love and acceptance, proving that if you truly believe in yourself, any obstacle can be overcome.
After her reign, Kelsey went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from McMaster University, where she specialised in political science and health studies. She later received a graduate degree in public relations from Humber College.
Driven by her desire for adventure, passion for aviation and a strong desire to travel the world, Kelsey became a flight attendant for a Middle Eastern airline and moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2015. During her five years of travel, she visited more than 70 countries. These experiences have created her international mindset, allowing her to meet new people, try new things and visit unique places. This also inspired her to share her journey on social media, earned her the #avgeek title, and enabled her to build an online audience of over 80,000 people (@lipstickandluggage).
Kelsey also cooperates with various charities and non-profit organizations around the world, such as Maria Cristina Foundation (MCF) In Dhaka, Bangladesh and orphan In Jakarta, Indonesia. As part of her Miss Glamour platform, she will continue to raise awareness of MCF, which is currently helping girls pursue their dreams, just like Kelsey did in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
“For me, the important thing is to use this platform. I must speak up against social injustice,” Kelsey said. “In a constantly changing world, we need more female leaders to help make a positive impact on our society. I hope my charity commitment will make a difference and inspire others to participate in their communities.”
Her next step is to complete her MBA in Aviation Business Management. As a content marketing expert at the University of Dubai and a social media mentor at Intelak Hub, Kelsey is currently supporting Dubai’s leadership in aviation, travel and tourism.
It is these experiences and Kelsey’s strength, determination and desire to empower others that make her an ideal candidate for the title of Miss Glamour in 2021.
