exclusive: former nba star Kevin Garnett A global channel has been launched in partnership with connected TV company Ronin Media Networks.

VEEM.TV is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2023 as a Black-owned connected television network from Hall of Famer Garnett’s Los Angeles-based production company, Content Cartel Studioand ronin.

The network will offer programming in genres including sports, entertainment, black culture, education, lifestyle, true story, comedy and drama.

According to the partners, it will reach up to 85 million households and focus on “advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the content it produces and distributes.” The launch lineup will include “exclusive shows and series produced and starring some of the biggest names in sports, comedy and entertainment.”

The joint venture partners also plan to give a portion of VEEM.TV’s proceeds to non-profit organizations, including Garnett’s Anything Is Possible Foundation.

“Our goal is to provide audiences with a new, diverse entertainment platform,” said Garnett, a 15-time All-Star and 2004 NBA MVP. “Our mission is to create a network driven by original content and world-class talent, including my best friends like Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Haha Davis and many others. We will focus on real people, to have real talent share real, real stories that represent all communities.”

A VEEM.TV representative added that the platform will feature “more than 500 titles from various library partners” and is “in the process of finalizing those deals.” Developed with Pierce, Davis, John Salley, Rondo and others programme.

Founded by Joshua Otten and Jason Rhude after developing, curating and monetizing content through connected devices and working with brands to connect them to audiences through emerging media platforms Ronin (Ronin).

Ronin already owns and operates connected television network ALTRD.TV, which offers over 2,000 hours of original content focused on artificial intelligence, Web 3.0, modern counterculture, transformative medicine, and health and wellness. Some content from ALTRD.TV will appear on VEEM.TV.
