Muhammad Ali Bandial held a book launch ceremony on Friday at the official residence of Faisal Tirmizi, Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE, in Abu Dhabi.

In his speech, Tirmidzi thanked the authors for their creative writing and said that Pakistani writers have contributed to a rich literature in their own language as well as in other languages.
“It is heartening that English literature is also produced by Pakistani authors and is appreciated all over the world. While we are strong in national and regional languages ​​and literature, English ensures a wider reach,” he said.
The book is Bandial’s debut novel and an ode to his father. The story captures the meaningful yet complex relationship between two generations, drawing a lot of emotion from the author’s life growing up in Pakistan.
Bandier said at the event: “We’re obviously all very close to our mothers, and I myself as a father, we suffer…we’re almost always ignored. I just want my dad to know it’s for him. “
Bandial added that Pakistani readers can expect a lot of nostalgia for their country in the 90s and early 2000s. Though all readers will love the performance of “The Real and Authentic Pakistan as We Know It”.
“I want people to resonate no matter where they are,” he added.
