Asan Medical Centre, one of South Korea’s largest medical institutions, in partnership with Abu Dhabi-based Scope Investments, is establishing the UAE’s first “gastroenterology specialist” at a 21,150-square-meter site in Dubai Medical City Hospital.
The 65-bed facility, implemented in coordination with the Dubai Health Authority, consists of seven floors on the ground floor and two floors in the basement, and will be equipped with the latest equipment, equipment, technology and digital solutions, in addition to the best specialists and doctors, with international expertise.
Construction work on Asan Medical Center’s first hospital outside of Korea is about to begin, with completion due in 2026.
Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director General of Dubai Health Authority, praised the Korean group’s strategic project, saying: “Asan is creating a supportive and appropriate environment to facilitate its success and realize its ambitions in the land of Dubai .becoming a preferred and attractive investment destination.”
“After completion, the hospital will begin to provide multiple services, including diagnosis and specialized treatment of gastrointestinal tumors such as the stomach, colon and pancreas, as well as liver transplant patients and morbid obesity surgery,” he added.
