Korean group to open first gastroenterology hospital in Dubai

Asan Medical Centre, one of South Korea’s largest medical institutions, in partnership with Abu Dhabi-based Scope Investments, is establishing the UAE’s first “gastroenterology specialist” at a 21,150-square-meter site in Dubai Medical City Hospital.

The 65-bed facility, implemented in coordination with the Dubai Health Authority, consists of seven floors on the ground floor and two floors in the basement, and will be equipped with the latest equipment, equipment, technology and digital solutions, in addition to the best specialists and doctors, with international expertise.

Construction work on Asan Medical Center’s first hospital outside of Korea is about to begin, with completion due in 2026.

Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director General of Dubai Health Authority, praised the Korean group’s strategic project, saying: “Asan is creating a supportive and appropriate environment to facilitate its success and realize its ambitions in the land of Dubai .becoming a preferred and attractive investment destination.”

“After completion, the hospital will begin to provide multiple services, including diagnosis and specialized treatment of gastrointestinal tumors such as the stomach, colon and pancreas, as well as liver transplant patients and morbid obesity surgery,” he added.

Fareed Bilbeisi, Chief Executive Officer of Scope Investment, said: “This project stems from the strategy of Scope Investment Corporation and its healthcare arm, Bright Medical Services Company, which focuses on providing the best medical service and excellence in care in all medical programs.”

As the first digestive system specialist hospital in the Arab region, Asan Medical Center will play a vital role in enhancing the UAE’s competitiveness as an ideal destination for health tourism, especially as the center will leverage its long-standing experience in serving patients In this field of medicine, he added.– trade arab news agency
