The big festivities kick off today with Sobha IIFA Rocks hosted by Farah Khan Kunder and Rajkummar Rao featuring performances by Amit Trivedi and several pop stars Badshah, Sunidhi Chauhan, Nucleya and Sukhbir Singh.
The most anticipated special of this year’s Sobha IIFA Rocks is the premiere of an exclusive showcase by renowned celebrity designer Manish Malhotra, who is celebrating 25 years in the fashion industry.
This year, veteran actor Kamal Haasan will be honored at the event with the Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema Award.
In addition to him, actor and couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza will receive the “Outstanding Achievement in Regional Cinema” award and designer Manish Malhotra will receive the “Outstanding Achievement in Film Fashion”.
The final Nexa IIFA Awards will be held on May 27, hosted by Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal.
