Dolly Parton maybe one of the biggest music All-time icon, but even her, she’s still drawn to some of her celebs.
This country legendThe 76-year-old is currently working on an upcoming rock album, which means collaborating with some of the genre’s biggest stars to help her do that – three specific musicians have left her in total awe so far .
“I’ve been very popular lately,” Parton told people Posted in an interview Friday, November 11. “I’m working on a rock album right now and I’ve been working with Elton John, Mick Jagger and Debbie Harry. ”
“Every time I talk to one of them, it’s very emotional,” she said.
The statement from Parton is quite surprising, she is a superstar herself with over 25 hits and over 100 million album sales throughout her career. She was even recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with an impressive list of other musicians including Pat Benatawhich Parton hopes to feature on her upcoming album.
“I’ll have a lot of rockers,” she told the outlet, noting one of her favorite songs, “Heart of Glass” will be included in the track list. “I want Debbie Harry and Pat Benata to sing on it.”

She eventually decided to accept the nomination and was inaugurated at a ceremony on Saturday, November 5, where she even performed a special version of “Rockin’ Years” and her song “Jolene” with Benatar, Anne Lennox, Dave Stewart, Simon Le Bon, Brandi Carlisle and Rob Halford.
After the event, Parton said she would “earn” the honor with her new rock album, which is scheduled for new year.
