A senior Met Office official confirmed that while Abu Dhabi will see sporadic rain on March 1, it will also see rain in Dubai, Sharjah and other parts of the country in the evening.
According to the National Meteorological Center: “Our country is affected by the extension of the ground low pressure system from the southwest, accompanied by the extension of the high-altitude low-pressure trough in the north, cold and wet air masses and high clouds of different media moving from west to east, accompanied by rainfall. , and some convective clouds are expected to form.”
Meteorologists confirmed that the NCM will conduct several cloud-seeding flights to maximize rainfall across the country.
NCM officials said: “The weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy at times with scattered rains across the country. More rains are expected on March 1 in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, stretching from Dubai to some areas in the north and east. By night and Thursday morning in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.”
“Light to light rainfall is expected in most parts of the UAE as the weather system we are experiencing is very weak. Weather conditions are expected to continue until March 3rd and pleasant weather until March 5th,” he added That being said, this weather pattern is not unexpected, it is quite common for this time of year.
