reela small stand-alone wired network behind a live PD series”Patrol: Live,” has landed in the distribution PeacockReelz’s linear feed will be available to Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus subscribers starting March 1. Some Reelz library content, including next-day episodes of “On Patrol: Live,” will also be available on-demand on the platform.
Reelz programming also includes “On Patrol: First Shift”, “Jail”, “Cops”, “Autopsy: The Last Hours of…” and more. The deal means Peacock subscribers will be able to stream “On Patrol: Live” live on Reelz every Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to midnight ET.

“Patrol: Live” is The revival of the long-running “Live PD,”A&E canceled the project in 2020 amid protests against police brutality following the killing of George Floyd. Producer Big Fish Entertainment remastered the episode and brought it to Reelz , and premieres there in July 2022. Earlier this month, Reelz ordered 90 new episodes of “On Patrol: Live,” keeping the series running until at least January 2024.
Hosted by Dan Abrams, the show was a huge success for Reelz.network Primetime viewers rebound 107% In 2022, thanks to the little-known network’s coup de grace in picking “On Patrol: Live.” Last fall, A&E sued Reelz and the show’s producers, consider this a copyright infringement “Live PD” Peacock’s parent company NBCUniversal divested its ownership stake in A&E in 2012.
Owned by Hubbard Media Group and headquartered in Albuquerque, Reelz is currently available in more than 40 million homes, including through DirecTV, Dish, Verizon FiOS, AT&T U-verse, and cable TV including Xfinity, Spectrum, Optimum, and Mediacom system. It’s also found on streaming services, including Philo, Freecast, DIRECTV Stream, and Dish Sling.
The addition of Reelz is also a strategic move for Peacock, given its recent focus on true crime, excluding “Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Is,” which the anchor said was its highest-rated improv series.
Peacock Previously struck a deal with another independent cable companyHallmark Media, last fall streamed live and on-demand programming from Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Hallmark Drama as part of the network’s linear-plus-SVOD deal.
Peacock is also the exclusive streaming provider for WWE wrestling. Due to the category’s exclusivity, when Reelz streams WWE live on Tuesdays at 10 p.m., its linear channel won’t be available on the platform during that time. But WWE ends in 10 weeks, after which Reelz’s Tuesday 10 p.m. linear offering becomes available.
