Los Angeles Opera announces new ambassador program featuring major entertainment superstars

This Los Angeles Opera Announcing a new initiative to bridge the diversity gap.

Under its ambassador program, the company will connect with key thought leaders and diverse communities.Among these ambassadors Whoopi GoldbergAudra McDonald, Phil Handy, Marsai Martin, D Nice, Karen Mack, Nichol Whiteman, Lance Gross, Mashonda Tifrere, and Kahlana Barfield Brown.

“Our education and community engagement programs have been very successful in introducing young people across Los Angeles to the magic of opera,” Los Angeles Opera President and CEO Christopher Koelsch said in an official statement released by the company. “We want adults to have similar success. As a nonprofit, our goal is not only our goal but also our obligation to ensure that the arts are open and welcoming to all. Opera in Young, Multicultural Sustainability among our audience relies heavily on limitless innovation, adventure, exposure and a true reflection of the world and communities we live in.”
