TSR Updatez: The authorities are continuing to search for 19-year-old Miya Marcano, because her missing related person—a maintenance worker working in her apartment building—was found to have died by apparent suicide.
Authorities said the suspect was identified as 27-year-old Armando Manuel Caballero, who showed a romantic interest in Miya, but this feeling was not mutual, and she rejected him many times. Mia last appeared on Friday At her home in the Arden Villas apartment complex in Orlando, she also works in a rental office.
According to @NBCNews, investigators later discovered that Caballero could use the master key of the complex unit. They said he had entered Miya’s apartment 30 minutes before Miya left work.
Officials said the maintenance worker was determined to be an important person in Miya’s disappearance and an arrest warrant was issued against Caballero on charges of burglary and allegedly allowed himself to enter her unit.
Although his body was found in his apartment in Seminole County on Monday, it is still unclear when Caballero died, although the authorities stated that “he has been dead for a long time.”
Miya is still missing, and her family is reportedly worried about the worst.
“Mia is still missing. Her disappearance is suspicious. Our detectives and family clearly suspect a foul,” said Orange County Sheriff John Mina. “We are still doing everything possible to find her.”
Just a few hours before she was supposed to fly back to Fort Lauderdale to reunite with her family on Friday, she disappeared.
“Knowing Miya, she will never fail to contact them, never turn off her mobile phone, never let her mobile phone battery drain completely,” Mina said.
The detectives own Caballero’s silver Ford Fusion, but want more information, and they ask anyone in the area to call them when they find the car on the weekend.
Miya is 5 feet tall, 130 pounds, brown hair and green eyes.
According to the apartment complex, Mia was wearing a red shirt, jeans and a black hoodie when she last appeared.
Mina said that the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has 30 detectives investigating the case full-time, but public tips are critical to finding Mia.
“No information is too small or too important,” he said.
