Additionally, the company has partnered with leading banks to offer lucrative flight and hotel deals. MakeMyTrip also launched a high-volume marketing campaign to “break the booking mold” to reach a wider base.

By launching industry-leading features and innovative marketing campaigns, we aim to It’s about reaching out to a wider consumer base.”

Consumer research conducted by MakeMyTrip in the UAE highlights that consumers want “flexibility when booking” and are concerned about “high cancellation fees”. Based on the findings, the travel platform launched several new features such as:

• Zero cancellation feature for flight bookings ensures coverage in case of cancellation due to any uncertainty. An upcoming price lock feature for flight bookings will allow users to pay a nominal amount to “lock in” a price and revert to a guaranteed airfare price later. The Virtual Interline feature creates smart connection combinations with different airlines for the lowest fares.
