club history

The City goalkeeper was central to the club’s triumph in the Champions League final in Istanbul last month. Ederson made a number of world-class saves to help the club win their first Champions League title and cap off a treble-winning season in what proved to be a night for the City star An exciting evening.

He said: “Honestly, after the Champions League final, I cried with joy. It is too difficult for the players. We try to win this game every year, and it has taken a long time. It was written on the phone that we were going to win the Champions League and I thought we were going to do it, but it was impossible to count on the Treble.

“We’re delighted to have achieved it the way we did, we’ve made history for the club and it’s been incredible for the country. People have asked what it’s like to be a Treble winner, but for me it’s what I did in 10. Years, 20 years from now, I will remember more things.”
