British luxury high-performance supercar maker McLaren Automotive has announced the start of deliveries of its high-performance hybrid supercar, the McLaren Artura, in the Middle East and Africa.
This new generation of supercars, built from the ground up with an all-new vehicle architecture, will drive the company’s future growth and is expected to contribute approximately 50% of the brand’s regional sales by 2023.
To celebrate the start of delivery of the McLaren Artura, an exciting track drive event for McLaren customers and enthusiasts, as well as key automotive and technical media, was held at the Dubai Autodrome, and VIP guests were given a chance to test drive the first car. The first regional deliveries will begin in the UAE and will be managed by the new McLaren Dubai, represented by Performance Tuning, part of the Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda group of companies.
This newest regional retail partner is operated from a transition sales facility, supported by a dedicated service centre run by an expert team of McLaren-trained engineers. The new service centre, the brand’s largest in the Middle East, is focused on delivering a seamless customer experience to support the brand’s sustainable growth in the UAE market.
The new, state-of-the-art McLaren Dubai showroom, currently under construction, will open in 2023.

The new McLaren Artura is the culmination of more than half a century of McLaren’s racing and road car experience and technology. This revolutionary supercar incorporates all the attributes inherent in McLaren, combining quicker throttle response, lower emissions and the ability to operate in pure electric mode thanks to its groundbreaking electrified powertrain .
It is the first car to be based on the all-new McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA), which sets a new standard for advanced chassis design and features extensive weight savings resulting in a class-leading weight of 1,395kg The lightest dry weight and DIN curb weight is 1,489 kg.
At the heart of the Artura is an all-new lightweight 2,993cc twin-turbo V6 petrol engine paired with a custom eight-speed transmission and compact electric motor to deliver instant torque and improved throttle response for the supercar. The kit produces a combined power output of 680PS (671 bhp) and 720S Nm of torque, which translates to a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 488PS per tonne, and truly breathtaking performance figures. The Artura’s top speed is electronically limited to 330 km/h, with 0-100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds* and 0-200 km/h in just 8.3 seconds.
The McLaren Artura is now available to order from McLaren retailers with a standard 3-year service plan, 5-year vehicle warranty, 6-year battery warranty and 10-year body warranty. –arab trade news agency
