MContent Appoints Digital Media Veteran Brandon Fong as Head of Global Streaming Business

Decentralized content ecosystem MContent today announced the appointment of Brandon Fong as its new global head of streaming. The new hires are part of MContent’s ambitions to strengthen its streaming business as it moves towards a rebrand and relaunch of its content platform.

Fong is a digital media veteran with over 20 years of experience. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Curiosity Stream and has held senior leadership roles at STX Entertainment, Game Show Network, Starz Entertainment and AOL.

He has also worked at Time Inc., leading video content distribution and acquisitions for all Time Inc. brands, with local partnerships with Amazon, Hulu, Comcast, MSN, Yahoo, Aol, Vevo, Defy, Gannett, Hearst, and CBS.

During his career, Fong has built content partnerships with FuboTV, Yahoo, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Snap, and LG, as well as strategic relationships with Facebook, Amazon, and Jukin Media.

MContent before make headlines In collaboration with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Middle East, the screening titled Ripple and the SEC inside Metaverse. This documentary, an original work by MContent, delves into the lawsuit brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) against blockchain company Ripple Labs.

On January 29, MContent announced that it has raised $5 million in a seed round led by UAE business group Gargash Group at a valuation of $10 million. MContent has funded 11 productions in South America, Africa and Southeast Asia, including a documentary about the Bitcoin revolution in El Salvador, which was released on Insight TV in February.
