To further cement its status as a global player in not just fiction but also unscripted entertainment, an international production powerhouse Mediapro studio An exclusive deal has been reached with Belgium’s Be-Entertainment to produce its format for Spain and Latin America.
The agreement also calls for Mediapro Studio to develop a non-fiction format for VTM, the leading TV channel in Flanders with more than 30 years of broadcasting history. Like Be-Entertainment, VTM is owned by Belgian giant DPG Media.
The European ultra-independent company noted in a Monday morning press release that TMS will be “the only production company that can adapt its distributor format exclusively for Spain and Latin America.”
TMS is already developing two Be-Entertainment games for the Spanish market.
Created and produced by independent clothing company Dedsit and successfully aired on Belgian prime-time TV by Play4, The Musical in Your Life pays homage in each episode to a celebrity who is loved and admired by the entire country People, combining interviews and musical content. TMS and Be-Entertainment launched a “The Musical of Your Life” format deal in April.

The TV format produced under the new agreement will be distributed globally in Spain and Latin America, where TMS has a solid infrastructure and a strong presence.
“Be-Entertainment is a reference in the distribution of non-fiction content, with a very innovative and original format, targeting a wide audience due to a common language for all audiences, very much in line with the style of Mediapro Studio TV shows,” TMS Head of Non-Fiction Content Amparo Castellano said.
She added: “So we believe they will be well received by Spanish and Latin American audiences, just as they will be able to adapt our format for Belgian audiences.”
