Innovative partnership between Mediawan and Plan B will drive global ambitions with compelling portfolio of projects across film, TV, audio and more

By joining forces with Plan B, Mediawan is expanding beyond its core European market into the US.

Mediawan’s acquisition is in line with the group’s expansion strategy Europe Enter English-speaking markets to develop international products and bring together the world’s best talent wherever they want to work. This strategy has the support of Mediawan’s shareholders: KKR, Atwater Capital, Bpifrance, MACSF and Société Générale, who have participated in financing the business through capital increases.
Three of the Plan B partners also entered Mediawan’s capital as part of the acquisition.
The investment in Plan B will be made through a newly formed entity, Mediawan US, which will coordinate Mediawan’s activities and future development in the United States. The Chairman of the Mediawan US Board of Directors will be Vanja Schlogerand Pierre Antoine Capton as CEO.
Mediawan US will hold a significant stake in Plan B as well as Blue Morning Pictures, the production company that Mediawan will form with the Academy Award-winning filmmaker in 2022 Florian Zeller and Federica Saint Rose.
